The Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 821 - 821: A Little Boy

The decoration upstairs was even more exquisite. Other than the artwork of the cats, there were also some abstract paintings around, reflecting the shop owner’s great taste everywhere. There was also a slide in the middle of the second floor for the cats to play with.

After Sharon and the others went upstairs, the puppy downstairs followed them upstairs. A fat little boy grabbed the puppy’s neck and wanted to bring it to the slide to play.

The puppy struggled for a moment and whimpered. It looked at Sharon for help, its eyes wet. Then, it lowered its head and was obediently carried by the boy.

Sharon walked towards the boy. She saw the boy place the puppy at the top of the slide, his eyes filled with excitement and anticipation. Then, he instantly let go and the puppy slid down the slide.

The puppy was relatively small. When it was placed at the top of the slide and slid down unexpectedly, its eyes were filled with panic. Its small claws tried to grab the slide, but the slide was too slippery and it could not grab it.

The little boy seemed to find it amusing to watch the dog struggle to slide down. He grabbed the dog by the neck and placed him on the slide again, wanting to see him slide down again. The dog stood at the mouth of the slide, its calves bucking as it struggled to retreat, its eyes filled with horror.

Sharon looked at its black grape-like eyes that were filled with fear and felt very uncomfortable. She walked over and said to the little boy, “Little boy, you’ll cause the puppy to fall if you slide it down from here.”

The boy reluctantly let go. She rescued the puppy from the boy’s hand. The puppy lay in Sharon’s arms affectionately and whimpered.

“It’s just a puppy,” the boy said angrily. The boy didn’t seem to understand. What was the difference between this puppy and the toys in his house? He could throw the toy puppy bear down the slide

“Puppies are as afraid of pain just like you,” Sharon said seriously as she looked at the boy.

“Alright, then. I’ll carry it to play with that puppy.” The little boy took the puppy from Sharon’s arms and walked to the other corgi, putting the puppy down.

The two puppies started fighting as soon as they got together. The little corgi even rode on the little Yorkshire dog.

“You can’t bully it. It’s afraid of pain like me.” The little boy carried the corgi down from the Yorkshire terrier.

Sharon smiled and watched the little boy play with the two puppies for a while before returning to the sofa seat. Wallace was smiling at her. This was Sharon, the Sharon he loved and the one that couldn’t bear to let the little animals be hurt.

“For the rest of my life, winter will be with you, summer will be with you, spring will be with you, autumn will be with you, the four seasons will be spent with you, no matter cold or warm, and wherever I look, it will also be you…’

The sound system of the cat cafe was playing “The Rest of My Life”. Sharon picked up a ragdoll cat and stroked it as she listened to music. Sitting opposite Wallace, she felt extremely happy.

“Wherever I look, it will also be you…” Sharon hummed a familiar tune and looked at the familiar face of the person in front of her.

Wallace sat in his seat and drank two cups of coffee. He smiled as he watched Sharon play with the cat. Sharon’s greatest joy at this moment was playing with the cats, and Wallace’s greatest joy was watching Sharon play with them. Sharon bought some cat food and placed it in her palm, attracting the cats to eat it. One of the cats was very smart. It went to Sharon’s hand and licked and chewed the cat food with its pink tongue. After eating it, it turned around and left ruthlessly. Sharon poured some more cat food into her hand, and the kitten quickly returned to continue eating.

“Alright, you foodie. You’re ignoring me if I don’t give you food, right?” Sharon tapped the cat’s head. The cat was very good at acting cute. When she touched its head, it would close its eyes as if it was frozen.

Beside her, a cat sat on the spot and watched Sharon feed the cat, looking unmoved. The cat’s disdainful gaze seemed to be saying, “Stupid humans, you’re all Imeeling under our cat’s pomegranate skirt and being our poop-picker.”

A black cat jumped onto the cat tree and because the nest on the cat tree was relatively small, only the cat’s head and two front paws went in. The cat’s two hind paws and black tail were still outside. It was like an ostrich with its head buried in the sand..
