A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 25

Except, he didn’t hand the bra over. Rather, Richard didn’t want another man to hold onto something that had touched his proud hills!

Qiao Anxia, who saw her husband surveying her underwear as if probing a diamond, snorted sarcastically. She had no idea that she would be willing to marry a pervert like Richard Calvin.

It was a mistake that she drugged this man four years ago, and she should have investigated first whether the man she drugged was her target or not. However, the deed was done, and Lori was born into this world.

To her surprise, Lori was the best gift she had ever received since she was born into this world. Even though she hated the child’s father, Anxia loved her daughter dearly. She couldn’t help but admit that she was grateful to Richard for giving her such an amazing daughter like Lori. That’s why she pinned the man’s name on her daughter. Not because she had romantic feelings for him, but because she was grateful.

Of course, Anxia wouldn’t admit it directly to the man. She’d rather die than tell him the real reason why she’d pinned that man’s nickname on her daughter.

“What are you going to do with that thing?” Anxia pointed at the bra her husband was still holding.

.....

In fact, her blood was boiling as she was itchy to knock this pervert man. When would he satisfy to examine her bra?

“Depends on what tools you install. So what have you installed?”

“...” Anxia hesitated for a moment to give a real answer. She decided to give an honest answer considering that Richard could figure out her lie once he investigated the intended device. “Signal sender.”

“Signal sender? I didn’t see the device.” Richard rummaged through the two-spoke object carefully for the little tool his wife had meant.

“The cloth is the tool. You won’t find it.”

“Ah, I see.”

It is no secret for hacker connoisseurs to have a signaling device mixed with thread before sewn into a garment. His father, Stanley, had implanted a tracking device in his three children’s clothes when they were very young.

Now the three of them were adults and no longer needed the extreme protection of their father, so the clothes they wore were just regular clothes without any tracking devices.

“Then I’ll keep it.”

Anxia froze in her seat while looking at her husband without blinking.

What did that man say? Or maybe there is something wrong with her hearing?

Before she had time to ask what he meant, Richard had taken a wooden box out of nowhere and put her bra in it.

Richard stroked the box as if it were a priceless antique, making the girl gape even more. Anxia’s baffled look was instantly shattered when she saw Richard’s mischievous glare.

Anxia shifted quickly and wrapped her arms around the man’s neck, making it difficult for Richard to breathe. To suffocate more freely, Anxia positioned herself sitting on the man’s lap while one hand took the wooden box chest from Richard’s hand and hit the man’s head as hard as possible.

Richard’s head started to bleed, but she wasn’t satisfied before seeing the man take his last breath and keep hitting the coffin on his head until he was unconscious again.

Then Anxia opened the car door, which was still running at high speed, and threw Richard’s body away like littering the streets. It was then that an evil laugh escaped from her mouth.

Clap!!

For the second time, Anxia’s evil thoughts were interrupted when there was a soft tap on the top of her head.

“What are you thinking about?”

Anxia was surprised to see Richard’s head tilted to the left and was now looking at her with a probing gaze. His touch was gentle and smooth as if there was no blood or wounds. Anxia also glanced at the chest box Richard was still holding, then sighed.

The pleasant moment she had was only her imagination. She imagined she succeeded in killing Richard, but she didn’t dare to do the actual deed. She knew she would never reunite with Lori if Richard were gone.

“I assume you must be thinking about killing me right now.” Richard’s guess was so precise that Anxia couldn’t refute it. “If I die now, you won’t be able to meet Lori.”

The girl bit her inner cheek hearing this sentence. She already know very well she wouldn’t be able to meet her daughter if she killed the man now. That was why she could only imagine it and refrained from actually doing it.

Anxia could only satisfy her anger by imagining this man’s death in her mind.

Anxia dusted Richard’s hand that was still resting on her head and then turned her head towards the street. She refused to look at the man and focused only on planning her escape once she met Lori.

Ugh! She also had to locate her mother and ensure Master Yu didn’t catch the older woman.

Only, is it true that the photo that Master Yu sent is her mother? What if the image was edited to lure her out?

For the first time since she became a hitman, Qiao Anxia was in a severe dilemma. Between her mother and daughter, which one should she prioritize?

A few minutes later, the car pulled up in front of one of the world’s most famous and luxurious boutiques. Anxia’s brows furrowed as she realized they didn’t stop at Stanley’s house directly but went elsewhere.

“Come down. We’re going shopping for a bit.”

“What for? I want to meet my daughter.”

“You want OUR daughter to see you dressed like this? After all, you will also meet my parents as my wife. I don’t want my wife to look like an assassin in front of my family.”

Anxia clenched her fists at the mention of the man’s name. ‘Our’ daughter? Well, Lori was indeed their daughter, but Anxia still couldn’t accept that Richard had appeared in her daughter’s life.

Then the second, the man referred to as his ‘wife’? Well, it’s true that they married and registered their marriage with the government records. But Anxia didn’t think of her as the man’s wife, much less of him as her husband.

Unfortunately for Richard. He would need a long time to melt his wife... and even then, if he had realized his true feelings for her.
